I loved the first book and couldn't wait to read what would happen in this book. I was hooked and then disappointed. The book just dragged on and I kept anticipating what the whole big secret was with Killian and what his plans were. The book built up such an intense curiosity as to what they would do with Killian's dad and family just to have it happen and end so fast in such a boring way. I wanted and expected more and wanted to be blown away but instead I was like...that's it? Although I loved the passion and reunion of Killian and Cleo with their amazing backstory, what happened after fell short. Such anticipation for something big to happen that didn't. Conclusion could have been better.

This was an interesting story.. It had my upmost attention right from the beginning to the end..I love the characters.. The way this story was told was meant for us to fall in love and believe in happy ever after. You have to read Ruin&Rule first...I loved this series. I love your writing Pepper Winters..Thank you..

I'm gonna go ahead and give this book 5 stars because I'm more than likely going to die of anticipation and impatience before I can buy it. I'm positive this book won't disappoint.
