Perihal pengarang

Born in Dublin in 1969, now based in Canada, Emma
Donoghue is an award-winning writer of novels both
contemporary and historical, short stories, literary history,
and drama for radio, stage and screen. She is best known
for Room (2010) and her film adaptation of the novel (2015).
Revisiting one of the favourites of her adolescence, Jane
Eyre, she wrote the introduction to the Folio Society’s new
edition, describing it as a book that “made the world take a
nobody seriously” – a goal that animates all Donoghue’s own
work. Her next novel, The Wonder, about an Irish girl who
seems to live without eating, comes out in September 2016.
