About this ebook

Can she tame her bear shifters or will she be their dinner?

Alone, frozen, and far from home, Isla finds herself in the care of four frustratingly sexy bear shifters. They soon end up on a Scottish island, trying to survive the disasters of a failing world.

With new relationships unfolding, Isla has to make the decision between her humanity and the bears protecting her.

Will winter drive them apart or can Isla claim her bears?

Rescued by Bears is a spicy reverse harem romance featuring one sassy heroine and four hunky bear shifters (including a polar bear!). Prepare for strong alpha males with a trace of vulnerability, an epic quest, Viking beards, very steamy scenes, Scottish landscapes, Celtic mythology and a post-apocalyptic setting.

Previously published as Polar Destiny.

Rescued By Bears is a post-apocalyptic reverse harem about Isla a human and her four bear shifters. This is one of those stories that although entertaining you don't want to happen in real life. The change in climate part, not the reverse harem part, that part wouldn't be so bad. Loved getting to meet all the characters and I look forward to learning more about them in future books in the Claiming Her Bears series.

I really liked this quick little read! I was not sure what I was getting into for the first few chapters but it hooked my attention and I could not put it down. I did not like Isla's uncle or Marcus by the sound of these two. I felt sorry Julie and was glad she and Isla could escape. I love the bears: Torbin, Hunn, Ran and Finn. They are super kind, caring and loving to Isla. What a bond!! This was such a different book than the usual shifter books I have read but I really enjoyed it. I look forward to reading the continuation of this book.

This was an easy quick read. The post-apocalyptic world is pretty interesting. The rules for these shifters are different than the other ones I have read. I didn't expect the twist of the mates thing. It's a HFN since I see that it is a series. Her bear does call her immature and it's true. There is mention of SA/DV in the first few chapters hence why the heroine runs. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

About the author

Skye MacKinnon is a USA Today Bestselling author with a slight obsession with bunnies, dried mango and Scotland. And when she says slight... her friends are trying to find ways to trick her into not having a book set in Scotland.

You'll often find Skye bribing herself into writing words using cake and tea, but whatever works, right?

Whether they're set in space (Scottish space, obviously), fantasy worlds (Scottish fantasy worlds, obviously), or Scotland, Skye's tales are full of magic, romance and adventure. Oh and unicorns.
