I was a huge GNR fan growing up and honestly, I was looking for some insight into Axl in this book. There was some, but Slash is careful to tell his story and experiences only without speculating about others. Regardless, his story seems to be the seminal rock n roll biography. It is the only life he has ever lived, and he lived it authentically. It is sad and disturbing, and I was completely fascinated by it. I couldn't put it down.

Pretty boring book. You would think you would enjoy the stories but in the end their just kind of pathetic and sad. As a GNR fan I'd say skip this.

Just goes to show that the more money and fame you have doesn't make you happy. And drugs ruin absolutely everything good. I'm glad Slash turned his life around and realized what was really important.
