Introduction

You’ve probably heard of someone being called a sloth, or even of one of the Seven Deadly Sins, Sloth.

But what is a sloth, and how did it come to be used as a bad thing to be called? You might guess that it’s some sort of horrible animal, but the truth couldn’t be any different.

Sloths are slow creatures, named for the sin rather than the other way around. However, there is nothing wrong with being slow, and as you’ll see, they are quite loveable creatures that cause harm to almost no one (other than things like insects).
