Nova's life was no piece of cake. She's a snow fox-shifter that was orphaned, experimented on when she was young and now she as socially awkward with co-workers as they assume she not as intelligent as she is. She must become an undercover agent with the man that crushed her heart. Asher is lion-shifter. He's a top agent in a secret government organization investigating an evil group out to hurt shifters. He also has known for 3 years that Nova's his mate, the one he insulted the first day they met. Now he must work with her to find the bad guys. Both are extremely smart, stubborn, and protective of the ones they love. This book pulled me in from the start. Plenty of fated mate drama and spice, undercover secret agents action and danger and HEA for the now happy couple. Another good book C.D. Gorri who never disappoints me with her story telling.

Asher, a lion shifter did not make a wonderful first impression three years ago on the woman who turned out is his mate. He doesn't know how on earth to fix it as Nova has him firmly in the "not a friend" camp. He is trying though and getting her to go on an assignment with him seem a good place to start. For her part Nova doesn't really mix with her co-workers in general as she feels like she doesn't people well.This gives you action, steam & lonely hearts into fated mates. What more is needed?
