After enduring a media-frenzied divorce covered by the tabloids, country singer Sunny Sundance is ordered by her doctor to rest. When her attorney calls about a journal and tintype photo dating back to the 1800s he received from a man who claims the artifacts belonged to Sunny's ancestors, she is intrigued, but not convinced. After reading the journal, however, she knows beyond any doubt that the claims are true. Since her career is on hold, she drives incognito to the Village of Oak Creek, a small community located near the beautiful city of Sedona, with the intent of buying back her family's homestead. Having recently gone through a turbulent marriage and divorce, he is in no mood to deal with a woman he considers to be pampered and selfish. Only later, after a journey of discovery into the past with Sunny, does he realize how wrong assumptions can be.

My perfect day: Laptop; WiFi availability; Java Mocha; characters demanding their stories be told; a plot that comes together; and hours to live in an alternate reality. Afterward, I return home to wash dishes and vacuum. Seriously, I have always loved reading, and now I love writing. As a preteen, I devoured Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Mysteries. When I reached my teen years, the romance genre became my favorite and that has never changed. A few years ago, I decided to try my hand at writing and I've been doing so with a passion ever since. I write in the genres of contemporary western romance, historical western romance, and fantasy romance. Because I hate saying goodbye to characters who have lived with me for months, I usually create a series so they can be revisited from book to book. I have also written a Young Adult novella titled "Fragile Hearts" using the pen name of Colleen Clay.
