it is a great book don't get me wrong I loved it but I have a few things to say about it mainly that smudging and cleansing are 2 different things Smudging is a traditional act, typically associated with North American Indigenous communities. Smudging is a sacred ceremony for purifying or cleansing the soul of negative thoughts of a person or place. A Smudging Ceremony is also used for connecting to spirits and Mother Earth, and calling in ancestral spirits for guidance and clarity. Smoke cleansing on the other hand is a much more interpretive practice that can be performed by anyone. As smoke cleansing is not linked to any culture or religion in particular, there is a lot of room for an individual to create a practice that works for them and their space. From an outsiders perspective, smudging and smoke cleansing may look similar because of the smoke, they are done with different intentions and reasons. I hope this helps some beginners who don't know the difference :D

This book is really simple and easy to understand. Its got decent material in the book that is common herbs that you can find in basic places like grocery stores. its worth picking up and reading

Started to read about lavender. First part of book. Had Nutmeg written in one sentence surely meant Lavender. Chapter was about Lavender. Double checked a few times to be sure. Nutmeg was next chapter. Didn't make it any farther seeing this mistake.
