I thought this one was awesome! I've enjoyed both of the prior two books and Nate's character has always been somewhat of a mystery. When I saw we were finally getting his story, I can't lie, I did a little happy dance! Nate is the oldest of the King brothers and the one chosen by his grandfather to take over the family business. He's stern and stoic in business but when it comes to his family he's all heart. When his best friends little sister, well not so little any more, shows up on his doorstep looking for a job and a place to stay he can't turn her away. Faith Mendes has always been the one woman he's wanted but knew he couldn't have. A promise is a promise after all. Faith doesn't see what the big deal is and tempts him at every turn. It's a wild ride as these two battle it out. I definitely recommend this book to everyone.

This novel starts off with a definite kick & it’s off and running from there. Lane has woven an excitingly hot tale that sizzles from cover to cover while tackling a myriad of topics. The intricately crafted plot allowed me to fully immerse myself in the tale while enjoying it immensely. Above all, the caring and family nature of all of the characters really shines through. I love how real life shines through in all aspects of this novel, both the good and the bad. Faith’s combined strength and vulnerability made me want to reach out to her. I love how attentive Nate is without losing the strength and imposing nature that makes him who he is. Together this couple was an absolute blast to get to know. And the chemistry between them? It definitely left the pages sizzling. The secondary cast was almost as much fun as the main characters. Nate’s brothers and their wives were fantastic. The banter was a lot of fun. And then there was frickin Sam and his bro code. He really threw a kink into a lot of things during this one but at the same time, I couldn’t help but love him. This novel was a great addition to Lane’s series. It’s a great read for anyone who loves a down home country boy falling for a gal who will rock his world. Had heard of Soraya Lane but was not familiar with her work. Now having reached the final book in the series, I am so glad that I took the chance on this amazing author. Ryder, Chase and Nate are just the right amount naughty to make them fantasy material. Chloe, Hope and Faith delivered enough spice to bring these rough riders to their knees. I received an ARC of I Knew You Were Trouble via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Have loved every book in the series but this is my favorite. Maybe it's because this couple had a history. For me that made the connection stronger between these two. Regardless of the turmoil within Faith's life and the strains to the bond of friendships, these two heated up the pages and pulled at the heart strings. Getting to see Nate's protective side and learn more of the history behind it had my heart doing flip flops. Fiesty Faith was somewhat of a surprise because she had a side of vulnerability that could break the heart of even the strongest person. Apart each was coasting through life searching for what was missing, together they finally found home. I am sorry to see this series end.
