Jim Gotaas is a retired physicist, born and bred in Chicago but now settled into Carlisle, England. A long time ago (actually in the last millennium, 1971), but still in the local galaxy, he published a novelette in Worlds of If. Having resumed writing, he’s had a story in Daily Science Fiction and multiple appearances in Pulphouse Fiction Magazine. Mike Baron is the creator of Nexus (with artist Steve Rude) and Badger, two of the longest lasting independent superhero comics. Nexus is about a cosmic avenger 500 years in the future; Badger features a man with multiple personalities, one of whom is a costumed crimefighter. Mike has won two Eisners and an Inkpot award and written The Punisher, Flash, Deadman and Star Wars, among many other comics. He has published many novels, including Banshees, Domain, Helmet Head, Whack Job, Biker, and Florida Man. He lives in Colorado with his wife Ann and some dogs.

Mark Leslie is the author of more than twenty books and close to one hundred short stories. His speculative fiction has earned him nomination for an Aurora Award and Honorable Mention in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror. Mark is the editor of the science fiction anthologies North of Infinity II and Tesseracts Sixteen and is a recurring series editor for Fiction River. He grew up on a diet of John Wyndham, Larry Niven, Joe Haldeman, and Piers Anthony in terms of books, as well as Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica (the original TV series), Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Space: 1999.
