Joey and the Vipers have just won the Stanley Cup and they have a night out on the town, in Vegas, to celebrate. After a night of celebrating Joey wakes up next to his teammates younger sister Gabby. Gabby has a beautiful diamond ring on her finger. After a little investigating she comes to the conclusion that they got married the night before. Neither of them remember exactly what happened, but as time goes by they slowly start to recall parts of their night. No one is happy to hear the news of their nuptials, but Joey doesn’t care what they think. He convinces Gabby to give their marriage a chance. Telling her it would be best for the both of them. Joey and Gabby take her dream vacation together and slowly fall in love. This story was really sweet and entertaining.

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is book 2 in a series about hockey players for the Las Vegas Vipers. It stars Gabby who is the sister of the lead in the first book and his fellow teammate, Joey. Joey is just out of a divorce when he meet Gabby who is the sister of his teammate. After a big celebration he and Gabby get hitched. Not wanting a second divorce he convinces Gabby to stay married. This results in them getting to know each other as friends first as they start to open their hearts to each other and fall in love. This was a wonderful fake romance story with a really great guy and a girl who just wants to be loved for herself. It made me cry and swoon and gave me all the feels.

Wonderful HEA. Joey should be nursing a broken heart from his recent divorce, instead he wakes up married to his teammate’s sister. But he and Gabby have an undeniable connection and since neither wants to have image problems, they agree to stay married. Joey is a sweetheart but knows there is something to be had with Gabby. And while Gabby feels insecure she knows there is something with Joey. Nice couple and a sweet and steamy story that follows their journey. Easy read.
