Kaden Chance only sees her as a best friend and Annabelle has decided after a waiting that it is time to start dating other people in this riveting paranormal romance. To retain his intergalactic immunity, Kaden must keep his family’s secret and the reader can’t help but get caught up in this sweetheart of a romance as something strange starts happening to Kaden and his heart starts beating for Annabelle. The attraction is sizzling and the romance is sweet but the relationship is on a rocky slope due to Kaden’s secret which keeps emotions that readers can certainly relate to flowing from the pages. Strong, captivating characters grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning while the fast paced, smooth flowing plot mesmerizes readers with suspense, excitement and romance. Expectation builds throughout the story as readers wonder how Kaden going to handle his growing relationship and his secret while excitement builds when Annabelle’s life is jeopardized by an enemy that Kaden didn’t see coming not to mention the government agents that have an eye on Kaden and his family continuously. The scenes and details are well written and capture the imagination while the intriguing events draw the readers in and guarantee that they want to know the whole story. The author has taken a mystifying what if subject and created a sexy and intriguing series with an interesting spin on the aliens and the government that adds an air of believability to the story. I enjoyed Kaden and Annabelle’s story from beginning to end and I can’t wait to read the next one.

Kaden and Annabelle's story was unique. I think that is what originally caught my attention. I enjoy stories that defy the odds and have characters that capture my attention and keep me interested until the very end. Under His Skin did just that. Stacey O'Neale took people who had differences and showed that being different is not what matters, it's what is on the inside that makes a person who they are. The heart, mind and soul are the guiding factors. Annabelle was confident in her professional life but unsure in her personal one. Kaden was hesitant in revealing his true feelings because of other things he has been hiding from her. His truths could destroy their relationship completely. I received an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review. I have not read this genre before but I am impressed with Under His Skin. The story was sexy, romantic and beautifully presented.
