in that the Demon Princes novels are also travelogues, even compared with other Vance tales which may visit several planets in the course of a book. Also the character of Kirth Gersen, unfolded across the series, is perhaps not a cynical as James Bond, but still operates in the same arena, professionally and emotionally.
