Great book for a thoughtful reader. A bit of James Ballard's style dying world, a bit of social satire, a lot of atmosphere - and you have very original and impressive distant future SF novel which you'll never forget. You could forget the plot, different heros, but you'll never forget the novel itself. SF, fantasy, cyberpunk? Who knows? It's Michael Swanwick.
