3 1/2 stars What a sweet holiday read! I like that the center of the story is about family. Of one woman willing to live a lie so she can take care of her son and a man who may know family love but doesn't believe in love between two people. It will give you that 'warm fuzzy feeling' that comes with the holidays.

This series is totally delightful, each book deliveries an entertaining story. This book might be one of my favourites thus far. We get to know Quinton and Emma from their respective voices. Getting insight into their challenges, emotions and aspirations. The romance that unfolds delivers heart and heat in an engaging story. While also showcasing the complexities, loyalty, support and love of family.

A Real Cowboy for the Holidays by Stephanie Rowe is a part of her Wyoming Rebels series featuring the nine Stockton boys and their sister. This book focuses on Quintin, who is a flame jumper and loves it. The only time he feels peace is in the moment after he jumps and before he lands. Now all of that is in danger when a small rip appears in his parachute. He watches as it gets larger, alternating between that and the fire below him. He landed away from the fire, but shattered his leg in so doing. Now, his brother Chase has nagged him home for Christmas. He'll go but he will not stay. He can't. Emma Rollins is home, too, at the Rollins Tree Farm, where he's known her years ago. Working at the farm had been lifesaver for him. Her parents had been great. She's been a great friend. She didn't look like a friend anymore, though. And what about this little boy? Ethan. He had a limp. Not exactly like Quintin's, but close. All three fell in love, but there were complications. I love this series and I love this book. It took Quintin a while to realize he'd always loved Emma. Like many men, he couldn't visualize it. He was too busy being depressed about the end of his career. All it took was someone else needing him, and they did. They also fit right in with his family. Emma is a strong woman. She's had to be, what with Ethan's leg and her ex-husband being such a jerk. Quintin was strong, too, between facing his father, abusive and alcoholic man he had been, and facing the fires. They both recognized it was time to move on, but didn't exactly agree on what that looked like. Quinton had the "bad boy" Stockton reputation to love down, too. Between love and money they could both move on. What a terrific story. And right at Christmas. Perfect. I was invited to read a free e-ARC of this book by the author.
