About this ebook

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

What Melania wants, Melania gets.

The former director of special events at Vogue and producer of nine legendary Met Galas, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff met Melania Knauss in 2003 and had a front row seat to the transformation of Donald Trump’s then girlfriend from a rough-cut gem to a precious diamond. As their friendship deepened over lunches at Manhattan hot spots, black-tie parties, and giggle sessions in the penthouse at Trump Tower, Wolkoff watched the newest Mrs. Trump raise her son, Barron, and manage her highly scrutinized marriage.

After Trump won the 2016 election, Wolkoff was recruited to help produce the 58th Presidential Inauguration and to become the First Lady’s trusted advisor. Melania put Wolkoff in charge of hiring her staff, organizing her events, helping her write speeches, and creating her debut initiatives. Then it all fell apart when she was made the scapegoat for inauguration finance irregularities. Melania could have defended her innocent friend and confidant, but she stood by her man, knowing full well who was really to blame. The betrayal nearly destroyed Wolkoff.

In this candid and emotional memoir, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff takes you into Trump Tower and the White House to tell the funny, thrilling, and heartbreaking story of her intimate friendship with one of the most famous women in the world, a woman few people truly understand.

How did Melania react to the Access Hollywood tape and her husband’s affair with Stormy Daniels? Does she get along well with Ivanka? Why did she wear that jacket with “I really don’t care, do u?” printed on the back? Is Melania happy being First Lady? And what really happened with the inauguration’s funding of $107 million? Wolkoff has some ideas...

I knew pretty much all of this actually! I talk with former West Wing staffers. Omarosa & one General, say it's definitely true. And 2 others, have admitted exactly the same. Everything in this book, at least, 80% of it, I knew, from other members of staff there. Melania is literally, just as mean and nasty as her husband. But she never says it out loud, like he does! She agrees with him, on most policies. The most controversial, for sure. Thanks Steph, for getting it out clearly.

There is now no mystery about Melania Trump. She is a selfish, uncaring women. And actually believes in her husband's policies. She does not care what her husband does or says, and the same for the media. Mrs. Trump has a heart as hard and black as President Trump's heart.

You can either be on MT side or the side of the Author, I was pro neither. I was consumed into the book and then slapped with overpowering details. The details go on and on.. The only reason people like Trump and the family is they get away with things you normally don’t get away with. Just another book about high society and privilege. Squabbling about things that are irrelevant to the larger population of middle to lower class society. My big question is why did the author decide to risk everything for someone like MT? Why would choose to work for someone like Melania? Why did you feel the need to be friends? Sounds to me like you continued a one way friendship that helped you get bragging rights. Sad for the kids that are involved, they needed you more than Melania did? Another sad book chronicling wealth and privilege that most have little knowledge of. Just more dirt on how those with power use it unlawfully.
