As her family deals with this new world, Linda has a secret that she is burdened with that brings on soul crushing sadness for her while her younger brother steps in a world of darkness. It’s 1965. Gas is 25 cents a gallon. Many people don’t even own a TV and those that do have only a black and white TV. You could get a new car for $2500. A new home cost about $13,000. Linda is a member of a typical middle class family that lives in the southwestern corner of Wisconsin. She’s a high school teenager with a younger brother, father and step-mother along with two close friends that have been together since they were six years old. Linda is quickly thrust into a world of fame that no one is ready for but that’s the least of her worries. She has a dark secret that could destroy her life. Her brother, Mike, takes a walk into the darkness for her and no one can do anything about it. All their lives change dramatically in a very short period of time. Linda walks through her life carrying her secret around as Mike steps into the darkness carrying his anger with him until he meets a friend that stands at the center of the darkness. Both the Light and the Dark watch this typical Midwest family closely. Linda and Mike are woven deep into the fabric of the universe and are important to both of them. They watch. The Universe watches.

About the author

I grew up in eastern Wisconsin on a small lake in a series of lakes that eventually empty into Lake Michigan. After attending college and earning an Associate Degree and Bachelor of Science Degree in aviation, I spent over twenty years flying large passenger jets for a major airline. I began to write when I received my first smart phone. The three books that make up the “The Ultimate Dream” are the result of my efforts.
