About the author
Poet and playwright William Butler Yeats (1865-1939) was a key figure in the Irish literary revival and a founder of Dublin's Abbey Theatre. In 1923 he received the Nobel Prize in Literature, the first Irish citizen so honored, and he also served as a two-term senator for the Irish Free State.
