In 1868, Renee Devereux is shipped to California so that she can change her destiny. Hiding the facts of her birth, her benefactor arranges to place her with a distance relative who owns a vast Spanish rancho. P.G. Simmons was born and grew up in the Deep South. For a number of years a resident of Cincinnati, she lives on a small farm with her husband. They have two dogs, one cat, and four head of cattle. Although she is a published writer, she dabbles in photography, sculpture, and graphic design. Her third novel Subtle Touch of Fate follows the movements of a minor character from her first novel Gathering Shadows. She is now currently working on her next two novels.
