About this ebook

That awkward moment when the hunky alien you just met proposes marriage…

Alien warrior and single father Thade needs a human bride. He travels to Earth, hoping he’ll be matched with a sweet human who will help him raise his four energetic children. When the first human matched to him backs out of their mating contract, he’s forced to seek out a bride on his own. But the moment he meets Alana, the golden-haired beauty who’s supposed to watch his offspring while he goes “out on the dating scene,” he realizes his search need not go any further. She’s the only human for him—even if she doesn’t agree yet. One way or another, he’s taking her back to New Vaxx with him.

Alana is shocked when she shows up at her newest babysitting gig to find out she’s supposed to watch four alien children—three of whom are taller than her. She’s stunned speechless when their hunky father proposes marriage to her within minutes of her walking through the door. Thade seems like a nice alien and a loving father, but she has her whole life planned out on Earth. But as she gets to know him better, she cannot imagine watching him leave her planet with another woman as his bride. Could she really find happiness on a faraway world?

Thade and his children -- daughter, Yulna, his twins Krezz and Flatt, and the oldest, Xerrn -- finally made it to Earth after a 3-month journey on the transport. Five hundred Vaxxlian warriors arrived to collect their new mates, human females to whom they had been matched through a mail order bride program. They found her apartment, but the woman who answered the door was not happy to see them. She had applied to the program when she was fighting with her boyfriend. They were together again and she was no longer interested – nor would she want to raise someone else’s children. She slammed the door in Thade’s face. Thade and his children went to a hotel and he booked the Presidential Suite. A childcare provider, Alana, was sent to meet him and would care for the children while he went out to find a replacement bride willing to marry and live on New Vaxx. Alana had already worked 50 hours this week and was exhausted. But the overtime would be worth it. She was surprised when the tall, handsome alien opened the door and invited her in. One of the twins broke the food replicator, so while Thade went to the kitchen to fix it, Alana met the other children in the living area. The boys were all taller than her 5’8”, and they each started asking questions about whether she was mated, did she like children, and would she like to marry their father! Thade, who had heard her answers, asked her to speak with him privately. To her shock, he asked her to marry him, but she refused since they didn’t know each other and she couldn’t leave Earth or her friends. When the kids were in bed, Alana looked at all the paintings they had done of their planet. She felt a pang of warmth for them. Thade’s children had treated her with kindness and respect, cleaned up their own messes from their activities, and were helpful preparing the table for lunch and dinner. Yulna cried in her sleep for her mother, and Alana held her close and comforted her. Thade found them cuddled up asleep when he returned early the next morning. The kind lady from the front desk, Maggie Hampton, had given him ideas on how to romance a woman. After his fruitless search for a mate, he wondered if he could romance Alana? Her eyes opened, but she hadn’t seen him there as she stroked Yulna and whispered soft words of comfort. Thade began to gift her with flowers, jewelry, candy, and stuffed animals, even when she said it was not appropriate since she worked for him. Her crush from the first day never lessened and, this time when she reminded him to go look for a bride, her heart wasn’t in it. She might even be feeling jealousy? The city was having more and more riots as things worsened. Thade told her he wanted her to stay in his suite for her safety. He wanted her to be his mate. It already felt like she was part of his family. His children adored her and he held great affection for her too. But why was she still pushing him to go out and find a bride? Maybe it was time to ask her again to marry him? This was such a wonderful story that melts the reader’s heart. Thade’s children were so adorable. And seeing what a wonderful father he was would make any woman love him. Why does Alana think her plans for life on Earth were anywhere near as precious as what she had right in front of her? Would she see the truth in time before she lost this family who already wanted her in their lives?

Great ending to this series, although I do wish there were more to come. Thade is very determined to persuade his babysitter to be his mate, he is also patient and a dedicated father. The kids are a bit rambunctious yet so sweet and instantly connect with Alana. She is independent, stubborn about leaving Earth and fighting her attraction. This is the perfect solution for her though and she just fits them. Thade really romances her and really shows her that his heart has chosen her. Heartwarming, humorous with a few nail-biting moments. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the third book in the series about Vaxxlian males coming to earth to find their “mail order brides.” Thade’s bride has changed her mind and gone back to her boyfriend leaving Thade and his children two weeks to find a replacement. Enter Alana, a babysitter from the hotel where they are staying. She is resistant to his invitation to return to his home planet because she doesn’t know him and isn’t sure she wants to leave her home since she thinks she needs to stay and help heal the earth. This is a sweet little romance with some humorous moments. His approach to finding a bride is funny if you picture a man wandering the streets of New York approaching random women asking them to be his bride. This is an enjoyable story and a quick read. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
