About this ebook

Enjoy this FREE steamy college second chance romance by USA Today Bestselling dark billionaire romance author Summer Cooper!

Year after year, Avery put on her best fake smile during homecoming week, but this one sucked especially–the anniversary celebration of Alpha Alpha Phi frat house.

Professor Stroh, the usually by-the-book type, hadn't always been this boring. Once upon a time, she was the fiery journalist who exposed the scandal that brought down that notorious frat house, thanks to her infamous article. Since then, she'd sworn off dating jerks who disrespected women.

Yet today, as she comes face to face with her ex, her Alpha, she can't help but wonder how the once most-wanted guy from years ago has become even more irresistible. The blue eyes, long legs, tapered waist, and rock-hard abs of NFL quarterback Keaton Shaw are simply irresistible eye candy.

And guess what? Keaton just wouldn’t give her a break. Was he looking for a simple catch-up, or was it a payback for what she’d done? But, as they say, some things never change, and a scoundrel remains a scoundrel. Despite her heart's desires, her rational mind knows better.

Avery and Keaton have quite the history. They met in college. They haven't seen one another in ten years. Their reunion proves the chemistry is still as intense as ever. There are lingering issues that work against them. I am glad they worked through them and were able to come to resolution. The story is well written and moves easily. The style with the flashbacks is interesting and really works well. Possible Spoilers: I am confused about what was really going on between Susie and Alex. What did Susie do for work anyway? I got a little lost about Keaton's mom and think maybe the details about Avery's family were contradictory from mention to mention. The ending before the epilogue could have been more detailed. Why would anyone forgive Ryder? Who was actually working on the screenplay? But neither of these questions took away from the joy of reading the book. This story is one I could not put down until the very end. The author does a good job building the story about what transpired ten years early and how it impacted the paths taken and the present. She does a good job weaving a story on the grounds of Glouster University. One of friends, rivalries and adversaries. I enjoyed every bit of this story and how a bet, a video and an article affected the characters. This story is an emotional roller coaster ride. I love Keaton and Avery!

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Keaton and Avery. They went to college together. He's was the football star and she was the goth chick before goth was cool. Now 10 years later they are together for their class reunion. But there is some unfinished things between them. Ryder messes things up for him and now Keaton wants a second chance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
