But their plans go awry when their plane crashes into the Pacific and they are the only survivors. Only their ingenuity in building a make-shift raft from debris keeping them alive. After a week of eating raw fish and battling the weather and sharks, they reach a small island, thinking they've returned to civilization. But they're wrong - they only find more problems. They get to know each other and fall in love as they fight off storms, injuries, and drug-dealing pirates who want them dead. If they succeed in returning to civilization, can they also fight public opinion opposing their love?

Richard McStay was born and still lives in Pittsburgh, PA. Richard earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from La Roche College and has become a jack of all trades, working in auto body shops, mental health care, and as a teacher’s aid in special education.
