She was so demanding, but then Claire has a dilemma whether to do what’s right or save her struggling business. There were plenty of sweet nostalgic high school and funny moments. This was a sweet kisses only romance.

With her business on the brink of bankruptcy, Claire agrees to design a wedding gown for her high school BFF, an Instagram influencer. Claire is surprised to learn that the groom's cousin is Alex, her childhood crush. The guy she can't seem to forget. And after all this time, the spark is still there. Except that for some reason, Alex is trying to sabotage the wedding. Claire is counting on those wedding day social media photos to save her business—so what's Alex's problem? This is a fun, flirty book that gradually turns deeply romantic and emotional. I love how Hatler uses side characters to expose the heroine' misconceptions—it seems to be a theme in her books. There's a strong sense of community here, a cast of well-meaning but flawed people just trying to do their best in the world. Claire and Alex filled my heart with the tender emotions they've cherished since childhood, which finally get the chance to blossom. This sweet small-town romance would make a great beach read. Claire Davenport shared her first kiss with Alex Murphy during a game of Spin the Bottle back when they were 12 years old. That set the bar for all other guys, despite the fact that was 15 years ago now. Claire is now a wedding dress designer whose business could use some publicity. When she is contacted by Missy, a former schoolmate-now-celebrity model to design her wedding dress, it could be just what she needs! A huge surprise for Claire is that it turns out Missy is marrying Alex’s cousin. Alex is the best man but doesn’t believe in true forever love, so he wants to sabotage the wedding which will hurt Claire’s business opportunity! She tried to talk to the stubborn man all the way up to his lab in the elevator, but he did not see love as anything that would last. She knew how very alone that would make him feel. She has to make him see that love is a commitment of the heart, and it can last forever. Can Claire somehow change Alex’s mind? Perhaps prove to him that love like that still exists? Could they find a HEA for themselves along the way? Or will he walk away again, not believing in love? I love these stories! The author is very skilled at bringing emotions out of her stories to help the reader feel what the characters are going through. The story line moved along well and included the mention of the “love legend” everyone knew about, which loosely ties the series together and gives us that little touch of magic – always a top component of love!
