This book could almost be considered a text version of a daytime drama. There’s more than enough family tensions and surprise revelations packed in these pages to make any soap opera proud. The way this story starts out, it’s easy to love Anna and a lot more challenging to sympathize with Ian. But it doesn’t take long before we get to peel back some of Ian’s layers and discover he’s not the opportunistic jerk their first encounter suggests. He’s a lot more vulnerable and complex than that.

This story is romantic, fictional and steamy. The connection between the characters is off the charts at times. Bonus this is a 2 books. So twice the pleasure to read.
