Sweet as Candy is Book 1 of A Howlin' Good Fairytale Retelling by C.D. Gorri. The MCs were absolutely charming. I liked the cozy mystery surrounding Granny and the twins, Hansel and Gretel. This is my first book by this author. The writing is light hearted and funny. Candy's grandmother is accused of kidnapping Hansel and Gretel.. candy returns to her hometown to proves her grandma is innocent. She didn't expect to run in to the annoying boy next door that she grew up with. Except he's no longer annoying and he's an investigaor. They have to work together to save grandma. Things quickly heayvuo between them as they uncover the mystery. A fun, quick read. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
