About this eBook

A marriage proposal gone wrong—a second chance to get it right.
When architect Marley Patterson goes out with Von Ryan, she never expects her practical, cautious life to be turned upside down by the handsome contractor. Von is the definition of fun, until his proposal sends her into a panic. Marriage is too serious a commitment to make after dating for only six months. Even though she cares for Von, they are too different, so she breaks up with him.
Being rejected hurts, but Von blames himself for not reading the signs or Marley better. He finds solace in work; however, his construction company’s success isn’t enough. He wants to share his life with a woman who’ll love him as much as he loves her. She’s out there. All he has to do is find her and, this time, be patient for the relationship to develop on its own.
After Marley is assigned to Von’s new project in Indigo Bay, he treats her the same as everyone else—professionally and with respect—though neither can deny a strong mutual attraction still exists. Soon Marley realizes she may have been the problem with their relationship, not just Von’s proposal. She wants a second chance, but after breaking his heart once, will he give her a do-over?

Some things are worth a second chance on, while others are better fit to stay dormant in the past. I am one of those people that are quick to forgive, and feel like most people miss out on some of the biggest blessings of their lives by not giving second chances. Not so with Von and Marley. Their second (or third?) chance is perfection! It is obvious these two belong together. A quick and adorable read that I immensely enjoyed!

This is a well written story about second chances and regrets. It's amazing how we second guess ourselves, especially when someone doesn't fit in the role that we want them to fit into. It means missed opportunities and losing out on our own happiness. If the heart is open, love can grow and move us to wonderful opportunities. This is the lesson Marley had to learn to get her happily ever after.

I really loved this book, it has everything you want including a hot sexy hero and a disastrous past between Marley and her sexy builder Von. When your proposal refusal goes viral on social media it has to make working together difficult. Add to that a town that is on your ex’s side…life get a bit difficult. I have to say Von is is the hero of the book…and sometime’s I wanted to shake Marley a little bit to make her wake up……but boy, was I invested and kept on turning the pages.
