About this eBook

There's no going back from abduction…

Luci hates that most of her friends see her as fragile and in need of protection, rather than the strong woman she's growing into. Everyone but Ax, that is. She doesn't want a relationship. But she's more than happy to spend her time with the gorgeous warrior until unexpected intrigue forces them closer than ever.

Ax will protect his Match…

Luci owns Ax's heart before he realizes he's given it to her, but telling her that may send her running. When they're stuck together on an unplanned journey, Ax will do everything it takes to keep his mate safe. But she's stronger than she looks and she's not about to let Apsyns torture her… again.

As danger swirls around them, so do the intense emotions they've been avoiding. To get back home they'll need to rely on each other, but facing their feelings may be even more frightening than fighting the Apsyns determined to end them.

Synnr's Kiss is book 4 in the Zulir Warrior Mates series, and though it CAN be read alone, I wouldn't suggest it. At the very least, read the first book, though the series hold an underlying storyline, so you'll still be picking up a few clues, at least then you'll know the main female lead's origins much more clearly. The book is written in third person omniscient, from both leads' perspectives. This is Luci's time to shine. She's been treated much like a child despite the ordeal they've all been through, so this were her opportunity to show she was capable, and I thought it was well done. I really like how Ax was the calm to her storm and super supportive the whole journey. Luci is a human, abducted from earth but recently freed and living on an alien planet's moon among a people called the Zulir. She's learning to live again after a period of enslavement, and still trying to figure out life on an alien world. Ax is a Zulir military solider who was one of the one's to help save Luci, and he can't help but fall for her pretty much from hello. He's wonderful, however, and lets her find her feet. The two of them end up on an adventure and discover some dangerous secrets, an interesting spy, and an unexpected match that might just be icing on the cake for a romance they thought they were avoiding. If you like your romance with some spice, a bit of action and adventure, some political intrigue, and actual wings, this is a great series for you!

One of the things that Luci and Ax seem to have in common is that neither of them want a match. Whilst their chemistry is off the charts hot and they give in to it pretty quickly they both have things they want to do before settling down (although to be fair Ax is ready much quicker than Luci but hopefully he can get her there) but sometimes fate has something else in store for us and these two soon realise that they cannot escape their true feelings. I really enjoyed the characters, I felt for Luci, after everything she had been through I can understand people treating her with kid gloves but I can also understand her frustration, she is a strong young women who wants to put the past behind her and move on. The story itself is well-written and entertaining and is full of passion and danger and I think I really enjoyed the evolution of these two characters and their relationship. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This story is a good addition to an already enjoyable series. This time it’s Luci’s turn to find love and put the past behind. There were some things that were a little hard to buy into even though this is a sci-fi romance. Without giving too much away, their ‘trip’ didn’t quite fit the series for me. Overall, I enjoyed reading this and recommend it to anyone who likes Kate Rudolph’s books and hunky aliens. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
