Palle Lauring, 16.10.1909-3.10.1996, dansk forfatter og historiker. Palle Lauring voksede op i et lærerhjem på Frederiksberg som den usikre og sky, men fantasirige bror til den mere udadvendte Gunnar Lauring.
Hans tidligt vakte interesse for historie fandt udtryk bl.a. i en række romaner, fx Vitellius (1944) og Borger Alexandre (1946). Den historiske fortælling førte med mellemstationer som Danmarks Håb og Horn (1954) og ungdomsromanerne Stendolken (1956) og Ulv i viking (1957) over i et mere fagligt funderet og omfattende Danmarkshistorisk forfatterskab.
Tøbrud fra 1951 er en roman om unge mennesker.
