Jules Payot (1859-1940) was a French teacher and writer. He was born in Chamonix, France. Payot is famous for his ideas about education and self-discipline. He believed that learning self-control and strong willpower is very important for success and happiness.
In 1894, he wrote a book called "The Education of the Will." This book talks about how to develop willpower to achieve personal goals. Payot thought that schools should not only teach knowledge but also help students build good character and moral values.
Jules Payot's ideas on education and self-discipline are still remembered and respected today.
