The Faces of Domestic Violence is a work which follows the progression of a ‘romantic’ relationship to its tragic end. The piece, written in a combination of haiku and poetic rhyme, conveys the inner musing of the characters as they become deeper and deeper entwined in one another’s lives. As the relationship progresses, signs and warning signals of violence are ignored and/or justified. Voices of family members and those who are impacted by the couple are heard throughout the piece.
