Written in accessible, non-technical language, this short book offers readers:

  • A more informed awareness of Catholicism
  • Encouragement to move from a combative posture to a gracious one

As a Catholic I find the author's arguments unconvincing. I felt like I was being patronized. Much of the book seemed to be saying that since Catholicism differs from what I believe, it is wrong. If he wants to believe that, fine, but why would I listen to anything that someone who believes that has to say. I understand that the author has written an earlier book on Catholicism. I have not read it and don't intend to, but maybe he tries to prove his contentions in it and intended this to be a follow-up.
