Partizipationsprozesse werden in dieser Studie als Zusammenfassung von dichter Interaktion , Handlungsautonomie und komplexer Argumentation betrachtet. Außerdem soll untersucht werden, ob Lernen durch Partizipation stattfindet. Die Mikrostudie orientiert sich an dem Begriff des Lernens, wie er von Krummheuer und Brandt definiert wurde: „...Lernen als schrittweise zunehmende Handlungsautonomie im Rahmen von interaktiv stabilisierten Interaktionsstrukturen.“
