Holy exploding ovaries! Did you see that cover? Lawd, after the first glance I needed a moment or ten for my heart and parts south to stop fluttering. After getting us wound up with the famazing cover, Taryn Quinn doubles down with a sexy, doting, single father to an adorable 4 yr. old girl; a down-to-earth heroine who’s been his BFF since high school; and a fun and surprisingly emotional story. Despite making me tear up a few times, it has a lighter feel than the normal TQ story, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I adored the heroine from her first appearance. She’s a straight shooter with a soft heart who let the hero get away with very little. He’s hot, devoted to those he loves, but sometimes a typical male whose cluelessness causes unnecessary angst. Once they give in to the chemistry that’s been simmering for over a decade, things heat up quickly and often. They quickly make up for lost time, and it’s incredibly erotic. The heroine’s best friend is an absolute riot, and the hero’s twin brother grumpily sexy. They’re less than fond of each other, so their snarkiness adds a real punch to the story. I can only hope we see these two again, together or with other partners. Having My Baby definitely has all sorts of feels, but what I loved most was the banter between the characters, both main and secondary. It was clever & snarky, and I hope Taryn Quinn has more stories like this in store for us soon.

From sunshine moments to cloudy days, in life we all experience our share of rain. What makes it tolerable is a strong sense of family and a great group of friends. What happens when family ties are non-existent and the bonds of friendship are put to the test? Taryn Quinn blurs the line between friendship and lovers. Seduction is on the agenda when hormones and hearts collide, but will the growing pains along the way prove to be the reason why a longstanding friendship is on the verge of dying? Have My Baby is a tale of sacrifice and new beginnings that leans more toward naughty with a hint of nice. Once I got past the dirty talk, Seth and Ally were a pleasant surprise.

Insta-love? Nah, more like a delicious awareness that's been percolating just below the surface for quite some time. Suffice to say that the lovely and talented ladies that make up Taryn Quinn have done another great job of delivering an immensely readable and totally enjoyable book that is chock-full of friendship, requited love, steamy times galore, and one heck of a cute kid. The longtime friendship between Seth and Ally makes for a slightly complicated foray into the not-so-friends-only zone, and ratchets up the heat to inferno temps. Fan, anyone? Seth is a won't take no for an answer kind of guy (because, duh, he is a guy), which is somehow charming here, mostly, I think, because Ally's sassy and strong ability to call him on all of his guy-ness. So, sexy, sweet, and downright heartwarming, plus a curmudgeonly twin brother (his) and a hoot of a best friend (hers) that both deserve a story of their own? How could this be anything less than a 4.5 star read for me? Don't let the title mislead you; Taryn Quinn fans old and new will love HAVE MY BABY, because it is so much more than you're expecting. Add it, read it, love it.
