About this ebook

These are the men of the 94th ID. They fight with honor, they defend their nation and their brothers fiercely, and when they love, they do it with single-minded passion.

Maximum Force

Max Remington has never been anything but a soldier. The oldest son in a family that served our nation for generations, he’d never considered any other path. The army is his life, his home and his one true love.

Until he meets Samantha Crewe.

Temporary Duty

Kade Braggs grew up wild and free, surfing on a California beach without much ambition, until an impulsive decision led him into joining the Army. What started out as a joke turned into a career, and now he's a company commander, leading several platoons of soldiers. Still, Kade does it all on his own terms; he plays as hard as he works, and having a good time is non-negotiable.

Until he meets Leah Samson.

Hitting the Silk

Once upon a time, Delia Rollins was an Army wife, until the unthinkable happened. Now as a young widow and school teacher, she's vigilant about protecting her heart. Her number one rule for the future? No more military men in her life. She can't handle the risk.

Until she meets Shaw Kincaid.

Zone of Action

Jake Robinson is the most easy-going soldier in his battalion. For the last few months, he’s been watching his friends find love, commitment and even babies . . . but he knows that path isn’t for him. Been there, done that and got the scars to prove it.

Until he meets Harper Drummond.

Damage Assessment

When a freak accident seriously injures Derek McTavis, he’s afraid that his Army career might be over. Even after he returns to Fort Lee, he has a hard time recovering and returning to his old lifestyle, despite the encouragement and support of his friends.

And then he meets Tasha O’Hare.

Scheme of Maneuver
Owen Hughes is an enigma among his friends. He’s a man of few words, and although he enjoys his share of fun with women, he’s never found anyone worth making an effort to pursue. With all of his friends now married or in committed relationships, Owen feels like a lone wolf, the last man standing. He’s not sure if that makes him a hero or a loser.

And then he meets Jacey.

Maximum Force This may be a quick little read but it’s so much fun. The story of Samantha and Max is a true opposites attract tale with a slightly airy-fairy pacifist and a man who’s made the military his life. I know the primary billing for this book isn’t as a comedy, yet it’s filled with silliness, puns, and sarcasm. The antics of their friends and associates to put them together left me giggling for a lot of the book. And the sparks fly off the page every time this pair is together. Temporary Duty Brightest light of heaven! This was just so stinking cute. I was already fond of Kade from the previous book, so I loved the chance to get to know him better in his own story. Leah’s not quite his opposite, but she’s just different enough to be a perfect match for him. Her lawyerly focus grounds his laid-back surfer vibe. And I adored the ending, seeing everyone together for the celebration. Hitting the Silk A military widow and a career soldier. This is either a perfect recipe or one for a perfect disaster. This story was a prime example of the saying “when you find the right one, you’ll just know”. Shaw has been almost as devoted to his single life as his military career. But a chance meeting with Delia sets everything on its head. I loved watching Delia recover from her grief, learning to let go of her fears and how to love with her whole heart. Shaw was just so sweet and patient with her. I spent so much of this book giggling and saying “awe!” Zone of Action I swear, this is my favorite plot theme ever: two lovers that are going to stay “just casual”. I loved seeing Jake and Harper realize that they were dealing with real feelings and that the friends with benefits situation wasn’t really benefitting either of them anymore. There were a bunch of fun, giggle-worthy scenes in here. And I adore getting the chance to check back in with the previous couples. Damage Assessment I’ve been looking forward to this story since the accident happened. I knew it was going to take a very special woman to pull Derek out of the place his mind had taken him. Sometimes you just need someone else who understands what it means to be ‘broken.’ Tasha is a survivor. She’s a fighter. And Tasha has just decided that getting Derek back to himself is her mission. Each offers the perfect environment for the other to heal. I love that we also get to see the camaraderie between this group of officers and their families. Scheme of Maneuver Still waters run deep, and Owen’s been proving that throughout the whole series. He may have been the quietest of the bunch, but he’s had some spot-on advice for his brothers-in-arms. He’s also prepared to take his own advice when faced with falling for the little sister of one of his best friends. Jacey wasn’t at all what he was expecting to come crashing into his life. But then, Jacey wasn’t expecting the tall, dark, and handsome soldier to turn her world upside down either. This was a slightly different twist on the best friend’s sibling theme from most everything else I’ve read so far, and I loved the way this played out. Perhaps the best part of this collection is the bachelor party short story tucked into the end of it. I adored getting the chance to check back in with these characters that I’ve fallen in love with. I’m also hoping that we haven’t seen the last of them either. I received a complimentary copy of this book.

Fabulous box set of military heroes! These stories are a perfect example of why I love military romances so much! Each story is a standalone romance, but all six men are close friends, serving together at Fort Lee. Each one has plenty of intense chemistry, lots of steamy love scenes, and well-written characters that will capture your heart right away. I loved the way the characters interacted with each other throughout all the stories. We really get to know them and it feels more authentic that their stories and lives overlap and intersect so much. This is as much a testament to friendship as it is to love, and it's beautifully done on all points. These are strong, alpha men who aren't afraid to let their hearts lead them home. The ladies are made of tough stuff, too, relying on their inner strength to take on the unique responsibilities of being a military spouse. The romances are emotionally driven, though there's plenty of physical action as well. This collection is just about perfect, the best set of military romances I've read in a very long time. This collection has a permanent spot on my to-read-again shelf; a wonderful escape when I want to remember why we support the troops and their families. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

"These are the men of the 94th ID. They fight with honor, they defend their nation and their brothers fiercely, and when they love, they do it with single-minded passion." I really enjoyed all four of these stories: Max is a career soldier and sees a 'damsel in distress' with her car by the roadside and he offers to help - little realising that Samantha had been picketing his army base only hours before! Then we have Kade, a Californian surfer boy who joined the army to finance his mum and sister being able to live comfortably. He meets the ex roommate of a friend from home and there are unexpected consequences of their night together. What will he do when he finds out that he's going to be a dad? Will there be a HEA? To their friend Shaw who falls for an army widow, Delia, who is avoiding military men as she lost her husband so young. Can he persuade him to give them a chance at HEA? Then we have Jake who was briefly married many years ago and he got burnt so despite all his friends getting married and starting families he just isn't interested. But then something happens and he meets harper...will they get their HEA? The Derek is next who is a loveable guy but he changes when he is caught in a freak accident whilst on a course with Shaw. Things were really dicey for a while but he's now home but refusing to help himself. When their commander tells them that he has to make an effort or will be out of the army they know that they have to pull together for their friend and his physio also helps too. Lastly, we have Owen, who is a bit of a loner and has never met a woman worth as relationship with - well until he meets Jacey at a wedding. He doesn't realise who she is - i.e. that she is a friend's sister! What will his friend say about them being together?? A fantastic collection that I thoroughly enjoyed reading and look forward to reading more stories by Tawdra Kandle. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED
