Graham Felstead (January 16th, 1944 – August 5th, 2021) was a Victorian man with Motor Neuron Disease. He was the first person in the world to have the StentrodeTM implanted in his brain as part of a clinical trial. The stent was placed inside a blood vessel in Graham’s brain next to the motor cortex, which is responsible for body movements. Once connected to a computer, the StentrodeTM allowed Graham to use the computer despite having lost use of his hands and arms.
