About this eBook

♥ A sexy nobleman with a dark past

♥ A debutante with a flawless reputation

♥ A compromising embrace

♥ A close-knit, meddling family

♥ Steamy Regency romance!

From New York Times bestselling author Lauren Royal comes the first novel in her beloved Regency series featuring the “outrageously funny, loyal, compassionate, and unconventional” Chase family.

The eldest of three sisters, Lady Alexandra Chase has always done what was expected of her. But when the man she's loved since her girlhood returns from a long spell abroad, she quite suddenly finds herself hoping the fine lord her brother has picked for her won't propose. She decides that if he does, she'll quite improperly turn him down—that is, until the man of her hopes and dreams informs her he has no intention of marrying her.

The last time Tristan Nesbitt saw Alexandra, he was a common man with no hope of ever wedding the daughter of a marquess. Seven years later, he's now Lord Hawkridge, which should make him eminently suitable for the woman who long ago captured his heart. But a dreadful scandal has tarnished his name in England—a scandal so horrid that marrying Alexandra would ruin not only her flawless reputation but her whole family. For Alexandra's own good, he must fight his relentless desires and stay far away...

PLEASE NOTE: This book was formerly titled “Lost in Temptation.”

Daft story, ill-conceived plots with numerous sizeable loopholes overshadowing the intended romance. Illogical reasoning and confused character principles, thrown togather with poor sentencing of phrases is highly frustrating. It started off promising but the read quickly turned tedious. Its a chore to finish this book.

Rumor is always societies answer to boredom. Our two families grew up together, and of course cannot believe how they are touched by the trouble. Alexandra's brother wants to see his 3 sisters happily married off. Alexandra agrees, but has her own choice. Well written, and flowing story. There is a lot of bantering between characters which keeps the story from being "dark". Thanks for the good read!

Lost in Temptation by Lauren Royal is #1 in a new and what promises to be exciting series, "Regency Chase Family" series. Lady Alexandra Chase, the eldest of three sisters, has a flawless reputation always the follow the type. Tristan Nesbitt, now, Lord Hawkridge, who is followed by a scandal that could destroy his happiness. Alexandra and Tristan were childhood friends, however, at the time Tristan was not a Lord. Who doesn’t love the Chase Family? As the the saga continues. Steady paced, with well-developed characters and a mesmerizing storyline. Scandal, deception, passion and romance makes a grand adventure and romp through, Regency England. A great Romance with twists and turns involved in a unique joining of hopefully, two families. I enjoyed the way Tristan and Alexandra learn to trust each other, again and overcome the obstacles they face, to hopefully, find their HEA. Ms. Royal has a talent with storytelling, passion and romance. An enjoyable and satisfying read! Strongly recommended for fans of Regency Romance, with strong characters and a stunning storyline!
