He completed a Bachelor of Arts in History at East Texas Baptist College, a Master of Theology degree at Talbot Theological Seminary, and went on to receive a Doctorate of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. He has authored several articles published in the 'Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society', 'The Best in Theology', and 'Bibliotheca Sacra', and is co-author of 'Beyond the Obvious: Discover the Deeper Meaning of Scripture'.
