Ratings and reviews

I liked the first 3 or so Women's Murder Club books (the second 2 of which also had a secondary writer), but like most books by James Patterson and a co-author, this one is pretty terrible. The problem isn't the plot or 1-dimensional characters -- those I can live with. The problem is that the writing is about on a 4th-grade level. Seriously, the Twilight books have more writing depth; better, more natural dialogue; and easier to stomach prose -- and they're terrible! This entire books is throwaway teen lit with the occasional sex scene or bit of violence thrown in to justify selling it to adults. And if you're looking for some interesting insight into the actual Murder Club, look elsewhere. Here they are all just stand-ins for Alex Cross or any of a thousand other crime-series protagonists. It filled up exactly the 2 hours I spent flying from Vegas to Denver (and I'm not a fast reader) so I guess it did its job.

I'm not easily offended but unless you want to read about killing children walk away. Couldn't finish this book. Patterson must be hard up for money to put out a story like this.

Awesome book! This is a fast read. It keeps you on your toes as who is commiting these crimes. I definetly would recommend this book.
