Founded in 1922, the British Broadcasting Corporation is probably the most well-known national radio corporation in the world, but the BBC is just part of the British radio picture. Seán Street is professor of Radio at Bournemouth Media School, Bournemouth University; he is the first UK academic to hold this title. He is also a radio practitioner and makes programs for the BBC Radio, and he is active as a writer and a poet.
