Sobre l'autor
Selcuk Aksin Somel is assistant professor of Ottoman History in the department of history at Bilkent University. He is a corresponding member of the Turkish Historical Association, member of the Foundation of Economic and Social History of Turkey, and of the Middle East Studies Association of North America.
