Having read all the available books in Jones's Sword of Shadows series, which quickly became high on my list of favourites, I was thrilled to hear of the Book of Words and even more so when I learned it was in fact set in the same world. The writing shows that this is Jones's first novel, although by no means bad - I'm just spoilt by her mastery that has come. I am extremely keen to continue the series and look forward to reading book five of Sword of Shadows when it's released with better understanding.

Brilliant! This is the first time I've read a book by J.V Jones and I'm sure I'll be reading many more! Would recommend this series to anyone who like a lots of adventure and a little bit of gore and romance in between!
