I've been waiting for Eli's book! I've been waiting for Eli's book from the beginning of this series; I just knew I was going to love it and I wasn't wrong. The books standalone so don't worry if you haven't read the others first. Each of the Crane men are unique, and so are their stories, but Eli's been to war and come back a different man. Isabella Sawyer's company, Sable Concierge, depends on references from high-profile clients. She has been hired by Crane Hotels to provide someone to help Eli get organized and transition back into the family business and take his place as COO of Crane Hotels. After Eli fires 10 PAs sent from her company she decides to tackle the beast head-on herself. This story grabbed right from the beginning. I'm a sucker for a man suffering the way that Eli is and the story is all the sweeter when that man meets his match in a strong woman like Isabella. Jessica Lemmon's attention to detail regarding Eli's injury and the pain he feels makes this story so believable. I know it's fiction but the story and characters seem very real to me and all of my emotions were engaged. I wanted to hold and cuddle Eli and at the same time smack him and tell him to wake up so he doesn't lose Isabella. The path to their HEA is not smooth or without pain for both of them but Jessica delivers as she always does. It was great to once again visit with the other members of the Crane family in this book. The only thing I can think of that would make this series better is another story to catch us up with the lives of all the Cranes a year or two down the road. A review copy was provided by the publisher via NetGalley but this did not influence my opinion or rating of the book. *****Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions dot com*****

Favorite Quotes: Eli liked Merina. She was tough. She was bold and clearly had enough forearm strength to pull the stick out of Reese’s ass. At least partway. This job had become like monitoring a wild animal. Feed it, stay out of its way, and try not to disrupt its normal pattern. …you’re not open are you? You’re more like a screen over a window. I can see in, but I can’t get in. …he couldn’t help watching her go. She wore that dress like she was doing it a service. I haven’t dated anyone in three years and then the absolutely wrong guy comes along and I fold like an origami goose. My Review: Jessica Lemmon has created an interesting and intriguing family of smart, sexy, stubborn, and complicated alpha males with far too much money and sex appeal to be legal. I enjoyed watching each and every one of these obstinate men lose their minds and hearts to a feisty, smart, and witty woman. Each of Ms. Lemmon’s brothers was alluring, well-drawn, complex, and endearingly flawed. Eli and Isabelle’s tale was multi-layered as Eli was the most emotionally damaged and socially isolated of the three brothers. I adore strong and sassy female characters and I loved everything about Isabelle, she could hold her own and best any of the Crane boys with her clever observations and sharp wit, and enjoy the challenge while doing so. The storyline and writing were relevant, insightful, emotive, steamy, and frequently amusing with clever and snappy banter and Ms. Lemmon’s quick humor generously sprinkled throughout.

All of the Crane brothers have struggled with matters of the heart but Eli's phobias were more complex. A life in transition set him on a course of self recrimination and the life of a recluse. He acted the part of a beast but inside that blustering exterior lay the heart of a broken man. Loss, anger, pain pity and blame have become his constant friends. That is until a caring family and a determined beauty set out to shake up his world and wake up his heart. The Billionaire Bastard travels beyond the beast and delivers sensuality, redemption and inspiration while dealing with a heavy subject. It is one of Ms. Lemmon's crowning achievements in my opinion.
