This is my first book by this author, and I'm not super impressed unfortunately. I'm giving this 2 out of 5 stars. The writing wasn't my cup of tea, at least for this book. I'll give the author another try because I've heard good things. I think the different POVs didn't help; they kind of jumped all over the place. Honestly most of the time I couldn't tell whose POV we were in, because they all sounded alike. If it's multiple POV, it has to be spot on for me. The characters were pretty immature, and I felt like they were so confused with all the back and forth with their feelings. Decide what you want people! This entire book felt like a soap opera, but not in a good way. It was too over the top dramatic for me. I really didn't like Kacey, or Jake. Travis was okay sometimes. The only character I kind of liked was Grandma Nadine, because she was pretty hilarious.

I guess with the success of Twilight and 50 Shades, every dull housewife thinks she can write. This book lacked any real development, the plot was forced, and the "keep getting interrupted" thing made the story drag on forever. Rich hottie novels, oy.

When I read the review by Rebecca H. I was very hesitant purchasing this book but as soon as I read it, I found it was worth every penny and minute spent reading it. It was great. There are a few editing issues that could easily have been fixed, but I found this story exciting and leaving me at the edge of my seat. I would most likely end up reading this again and recommending it to other people.
