Julius Falconer admits that the only positive feature in a life otherwise devoid of the slightest interest is that, in forty years’ work, he did not miss one day through ill-health! Born in Coventry, educated in Leicester, Italy and Leeds, he worked mainly in Scotland and Cornwall. A retired translator and secondary-school teacher, he reads, writes, indulges his passion for music, walks, gardens and thinks.
