I love how completely he describes people, even the smallest characters are described in detail. I get a very vivid, almost silent movie-type image of everyone in his stories, which is nice. He not only has a way with words, and of spinning out a mystery - he was so amazingly intelligent - the bad thing is I've finally come to the end of every Doyle book/story. boo hoo

Conan Doyle stories,,,,_ interesting reread of human constancy in a long-passed world and its mores. Simplistic mysteries solved with no modern tools, but true attempts at justice. Zany portraits of a coming era, with consistent reminders of the British class system and prejudices.

Written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle without Sherlock Holmes. Very good read and completely captivating. I couldn't put it down.
