This book will stay with you for a life time I've so far read it 3 times and I will carry on reading it... I laughed in places, cheered in others, felt loss and ultimately sobbed like a child (once in a busy cafe even though I'd already read it before... its a book of life, death, pain, joy, love, hate and death all in a way thats moving along at a pace that you cant let the pages lay for too long....Please take some time and read this tale...

I brought this book 10years ago when I started to read it I couldn't put it down. An excellent book. But I lost my book and am heart broken but when I see it again I will buy it again.

This is my favourite book in the world love it so much, you can just get lost in the world, forggeting all stresses

About the author

John Connolly is author of the Charlie Parker mysteries, The Book of Lost Things, the Samuel Johnson novels for young adults and, with his partner, Jennifer Ridyard, the co-author of the Chronicles of the Invaders. John Connolly's debut - EVERY DEAD THING - introduced the character of Private Investigator Charlie Parker, and swiftly launched him right into the front rank of thriller writers. All his subsequent novels have been Sunday Times bestsellers.

In 2007 he was awarded the Irish Post Award for Literature. He was the first non-American writer to win the US Shamus award and the first Irish writer to win an Edgar award.
