About this eBook

One Friday night in the city of Melbourne, aspiring concert pianist Ella Wentworth mesmerizes an audience of eight hundred people. Yet she's distraught; she missed a note, and her perfectionism consumes her. Moments later, her hair turns arctic white, and her world descends into Disneyesque hallucinations where everyday objects appear to sparkle, levitate, and...flash mob.

Ella is referred to Dr Kendra Hamilton, who specializes in treatment for “post-traumatic stress in cases of trauma-induced spontaneous hair depigmentation.” But with Dr Hamilton's tennis player grip and capacity to draw bolts of energy from the sky, Ella believes there's more to this psychiatrist's credentials than MD. What does this mental health professional mean by “you're a witch?”

Unfortunately, everyone but Ella is frothing about her rare magic skills, and soon she becomes the target of nefarious beings. And all this magical hoo-ha unfolds behind the backs of her husband and daughter. Max is Ella's sweetheart whom she would never (normally) lie to. But any day now, she'll confess she's a witch. Right? Right?

The Magic Investigations Society Archive is a genre-bending cozy mystery series filled with paranormal fantasy adventure.

This book started off strangely, Ella is a pianist with an orchestra, for some reason after a performance her hair turns white. After this things get a little strange and weird things start to happen. Then you find out she is an endangered witch and someone is after her. Ella is introduced to a whole new world but she still has to protect herself and her family. The ending was spectacular with deadly secrets coming out and a devious plan destroyed. I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Ella crashes head on into unexpected changes related to her family history discovering her status as a rare kind of witch and being in danger because of that is pretty harrowing she is only beginning to grasp what this might mean for her when the threat to her husband and daughter become terrifyingly clear where does the threat come from? can she trust the arrogant jerk who really does want to help? the kind guide? what are their goals and motivations? her insights and skills could be seriously transforming for their witch society- if she can live long enough to make some significant contributions intense dram, intrigue and action I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book was so fun to read and I am hooked and I can't wait to read more. The author has a cool way of writing that drags you into the story and holds you hostage in a good way that allows you to feel apart of the story and want to be a character too. About the author

H.B. Chapman is a professional writer and emerging playwright based in Australia. The Magic Investigations Society Archive is a new genre-bending paranormal cozy mystery series that mixes adventure with paranormal fantasy, featuring an endearing ensemble of characters who are at times moving, funny, and completely absurd.

The Case of the Endangered Witch (Book One) introduces Ella Wentworth, an aspiring concert pianist who has her whole magical life mapped out—that is, until she encounters real magic. Follow Ella's ride as she is catapulted into interdimensional adventures. Drawn into the double life of being an amateur sleuth, Ella lends her skills to the strangely juvenile yet fairly competent agents of the Magic Investigations Society.
