DANIEL BEHAR. As a biologist and dental surgeon, and after 30 years as a scholar at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAMX), I am an advocate of scientific thinking. Also of literature and arts—I have published several books, I draw and paint. Real delight—I consider—stems from our power of creation. Observe, admire and then understand are key steps towards images and words in a piece of literature.
SILVIA BAZAN. My life changed the day I opened a drawer and discovered a play I wrote in my youth. As a surgeon and director of community education and continuing medical education programs, I realized I had distanced myself from an essential part—recall, understand, weave sensations and realities, write. So the opportunity arose to participate in this literary work—and in many others to come.
