ELOISE WILKIN (1904–1987) is one of the most beloved and prolific Golden Books illustrators. To many, her work embodies "that Little Golden Book feeling," as well as a certain time in America. Wilkin's loving depiction of the natural world, and her paintings of cherubic children, helped make Golden Books an icon.
