Emily left Magnolia Bay in hopes to get away from her “curse” and a cabin in the woods should do just that. Griff needs to check in on Sassy, an ailing Golden Retriever. After that he plans on getting out of dodge and camping for the holiday. However when they both end up stranded in the cabin due to the ice storm, neither is very pleased. Emily and Griff are both running away from their problems. Will this be the Christmas to put their pasts behind them? I really enjoyed this story. It seemed a bit abrupt towards the end (when she leaves the cabin). I was happy that she finally saw Phillip for the type of guy she didn’t need! Emily and Griff were lovable characters while it just felt right to hate Phillip. LOL! I would definitely recommend this book!

A whimsical yet sentimental holiday read. This story has feel good written all over it. With The Christmas Curse Erika Marks does what she does best. Write quirky characters, stir up emotional that make you glad you took a chance. The small town scenario and the feeling of family and friends I loved this story.

Loved this!! A wonderful holiday tale of two people who have endured years of Christmas heartache but somehow find each other this year putting the Christmas curse to rest for good. Emily and Griffen are great together and both deserve happiness, especially this time of year. A great lazy day read. I definitely recommend it.
